We offer Comprehensive Driving Evaluations for people who have suffered physical or neurological injuries that require special accommodations for driving.Our Driver Assessments involve thorough examinations carried out by occupational therapists and driving evaluators to evaluate a person's capability to drive securely and independently.

We are Matheson trained to deliver the highest standard of Functional and Cognitive Assessments for our clients.
Functional Assessments for Adults and Seniors
With over a decade of experience in the field of Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation Medicine, we are trained to complete functional and cognitive assessments for a variety of disabilities that affect participation in the daily activities that are meaningful and necessary. We provide treatment, education and advocacy to optimize abilities.
Paediatric Occupational Therapy Services
We are an Expert Pediatric Occupational Therapy team and work with children and their families, as well as educators, to address specific barriers to learning.
Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP)

Driving Evaluations and Vehicle Modifications
If you or a loved one are concerned about driving safety—whether due to a medical condition, anxiety after an accident, or general uncertainty—we’re here to help. Our specialized driving assessments and practice sessions are designed to support individuals in regaining confidence and driving safely on the road.
Our team of experienced occupational therapists and certified driving evaluators works with individuals who may face challenges related to vision, cognition, mobility, or emotional well-being. We focus on enhancing safety and independence, offering tailored recommendations, including vehicle modifications, to make driving more accessible.
Our Driving Evaluation Process:
- Comprehensive Functional Assessment: We evaluate critical skills such as vision, cognitive function, attention, motor abilities, and reaction times.
- On-the-Road Driving Test: We observe your performance on actual roads to assess your driving capabilities in real-world scenarios.
Based on the results, we provide detailed feedback and personalized recommendations. These may include:
- Specialized training programs
- Therapy sessions to improve skills
- Adaptive equipment or vehicle modifications

We provide comprehensive driving evaluations using DriveABLE technology to promote safe independence with driving:
- Screening for mild cognitive impairment
- steering wheel modification, signal extender, adapted mirrors, basic seat modifications for transfers and limited spinal rotation
- Left side gas pedal, hand controls and spinner knobs.

Functional Capacity Evaluations
Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) are comprehensive assessments conducted by our occupational therapists, to evaluate an individual's physical and functional abilities in relation to their capacity to perform work-related tasks. These evaluations are often used in the context of rehabilitation, return-to-work planning, disability determination, and litigation related to work-related injuries or illnesses.
Often, Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE's) are required by:
- injury lawyers
- insurance claims
- motor vehicle accidents
Future Cost of Care Analysis (FCCA)
A Future Cost of Care Analysis may be conducted to establish potential lost wages and costs of extended therapies, medications, and services related to injury. In-court appearances may be provided for expert testimony.
